During the first Angus Foundation reception Saturday evening in Louisville the No. 1 print of the "In Apple Blossom Time" was auctioned. This group of Angus supporters purchased the print for $40,000. The group purchased the print in honor of Dave McMahon, Belle Point Ranch, Lavaca, AR, and presented the print to him for his years of commitment to the Angus Foundation and Angus youth. The Angus Foundation supports youth, education and research.

The Dave McMahon Family of Belle Point Ranch, Lavaca, AR, purchased the opportunity for Frank Champion Murphy to do a charcoal drawing of the Angus bull or female of their choice. McMahon requested that the No. 1 "In Apple Blossom Time" print along with a charcaol drawing by Murphy of Dick and Sheri Spader be displayed at the Association office.

Wravenna Phipps, Kearney, NE (right) was named the 2004 Miss American Angus. Also pictured is the 2003 Miss American Angus Joanna Olson, Hereford, TX.

Candidates vying for the title of 2004 Miss American Angus were Katy Kemp, Texas; Wravenna Phipps, Nebraska; Keela Retallick, Wisconsin; Megin Santee, Kansas; and Lisa Stream, Iowa. Also pictured is Joanna Olson, 2003 Miss American Angus.

Roth Angus, Freeman, SD, was named ROV Breeder of the Year.

Roth CAF United 3481 was named ROV Show Bull of the Year. He is owned by DeWayne Costin, Greencastle, IN; Beth Patton, Rensselaer, IN; and LaGrand Angus Ranch, Freeman, SD.

Champion Hill Lady 2185 was named ROV Show Heifer of the Year. She is owned by Champion Hill, Bidwell, OH; and FoxCross Farm, Alderson, WV.
