Koupal Angus donated "Tribute to the Youth" to be auctioned at the reception Sunday evening. The original acrylic framed art featuring the late Richard L. Spader and Pat Grote was purchased by a group of Angus enthusiasts with proceeds being split between the Spader and Grote memorials and the Auxiliary scholarship program. The print will be displayed at the American Angus Association. |
The Dave McMahon Family of Belle Point Ranch purchased this quilt that was donated by Deer Creek Ranch with the proceeds going to the 2003 National Junior Angus Show (NJAS). |
The Wisconsin Junior Angus Association purchased a sexed heifer pregnancy for $4,000 and redonated the pregnancy back to the 2003 NJAS to auction again. The pregnancy was sold again for $3,000 to Sugar Springs of Arkansas. During the reception the 2003 NJAS raised more than $38,600. |
Julie McMahon purchased the red hat being modeled by Doc Smith (contending bidder) for $200. The proceeds of the auction went to the American Angus Auxiliary. |
The American Angus Auxiliary celebrated 50 years of service to the Angus industry Saturday night. The program included a flashback of the past 50 years. Bette Votaw modeled an outfit from the '50s .
