At G Bar H Cattle Co, cattle are our business — our only business. However, we do raise oats, corn, and hay, which are marketed through our cattle.
Our Angus heritage runs deep. In 1938 our grandfather, Geo. F. Haas bought his first two registered Angus females. In the beginning, this operation was known as George F. Haas and Sons. In 1960 he incorporated and the operation was known as Haas Farms Inc. Hubert Haas followed his father in the registered business and now these cattle are the nucleus of the G Bar H Cattle herd. In 1998 the herd was recognized as a historic Angus herd.
We have our own bull sale every second Tuesday in February at Stockman’s Livestock in Torrington, Wyoming. We sell approximately 100 Angus bulls. We are very proud of the fact that approximately 80% of our bulls go to repeat buyers. We strive to raise bulls that will work for the commercial man in the real world of the cattle producer. Our bulls have gone from the harsh conditions of the desert to the high altitude of the mountains and we have had very satisfied customers.
